Concrete Repair Restoration

Each concrete project presents its own unique set of challenges.

Cracks, chips, and holes are often revealed over time, existing material removal and moisture control problems are all issues we are experts at repairing or removing. We have a substantial inventory of the best equipment and tools available. We use diamond grinders and shot blasting equipment and provide full containment with HEPA filtered negative air machines for odor and contaminate control. Additionally, we have an extensive array of hand held equipment that enables us to prep virtually any slab no matter what is currently on the floor.

We begin the removal process by assessing the amount and type of adhesive which was used and then remove it by grinding and/or shot blasting the surface. Our goal is to remove all substrate materials, repair any damaged concrete without causing any further damage to the surface. If the concrete is in good condition, it can then be ground, tinted and polished. If the surface has moderate to severe damage, we can treat it with self-leveling concrete, concrete overlays, or epoxy coatings.

Shot Blasting and Grinding – The top layers of concrete can be discolored, stained, soiled, and damaged by moisture, glue, paint, and other substances. Shot blasting and grinding may be required to achieve the best results.

Long Term Repair for Cracks and Chips – Cracks, chips and holes are often revealed over time. There can also be moisture problems that need to be addressed. A simple crack can lead to very complicated problems. Some cracks may be a natural part of the concrete design while others may appear to be hairline fissions that run down to the foundation. We will assess the severity of the damage and repair them completely. Fixing cracks for long term performance involves using the right fillers that will cure below grade and fill the entire crack. We take great care fixing cracks or damaged concrete and we do it right the first time. We repair damage with approved materials including self-leveling concrete, concrete overlays, or epoxy / polyurethane coatings.

Epoxy Removal – Improperly applied epoxy coatings may separate and peel over time. If the concrete wasn’t prepared or sandblasted, tiny air holes can form under the epoxy. This epoxy must be removed before a new surface treatment can be applied. We use our experience and knowledge to present you with the best flooring options for your environmental exposures. Our emphasis is on long term performance and quality.
